Lying in Plainview

A YA mystery about secrets and belonging.

2025 Finalist

San Francisco Writers Conference Writing Contest

"From page one, Lying in Plainview captures that biting, entertaining accuracy of teenage selfishness, the venom that can creep into even the most well-intentioned friendships, and the exhilarating, often horrifying chaos of being a teenager caught in the mess of your own making. It's Heathers meets Pretty Little Liars in the best possible way: darkly funny, tense, uncomfortable, deeply honest, and impossible to look away from."

Our Story

Back then...

We bonded over a mutual dislike for middle school gym class and love of summers at the community pool. We hung out at the mall, ate mozzarella sticks at the diner, and never pretended we didn't like school. We grew up in South Plainfield, New Jersey, and will always be Jersey girls at heart.

Today...

We are are seeking representation for our manuscript, Lying in Plainview, named a Finalist in the 2025 San Francisco Writers Conference Writing Contest.

Next up...

We are eager to build our careers as co-authors and through solo projects.
